STF upcoming events

Due to the anticipation of a STF Alumni Association event by most of you, two events will take place at the beginning of 2007.

1. 2007 STF Alumni Association New Year Party

The Party will take place towards the end of January 2007, in order to welcome the new year, exchange wishes and mainly see each other and meet more of us.

The party will be by invitation only and more details will be posted soon.

All you have to do for the time being is save the date.

2. General Assembly

A General Assembly is being organized to take place in February 2007 that will combine the traditional ‘kopi pitas’ and elections for a new board of directors of the Association.

All members can run for the Association’s board of directors so we urge you to consider whether you would be interested in becoming a candidate.

Details on the venue and the procedure will be posted in due time.

20-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR SHIPPING TRADE AND FINANCE

2004 marks an important milestone for the Centre since it signifies 20 years since the launch of the first MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance which, ever since, has been following an outstanding course of success and has grown to become one of the top postgraduate degrees in the world and its graduates to being very highly regarded by the global shipping and financial communities.

Considering this anniversary as an opportunity to underline the Centre's successful and creative course up to date as well as the aim for continuance and further boosting of its presence in the international Academic and Business environments, a number of festivities are being scheduled.

The main event is planned to be an international reunion event held in London during the first quarter of 2005, and will be attended by very prominent figures of the international political and economic fora.
